There are many people who decide to become vegetarian but are uninformed about their decision and eat in ways that are unhealthy.
Food is something humans cannot live without. If you eat improperly, it will have a bad effect on your health. Eating healthy requires eating food from five categories which depend on your gender, age and activity level. So, what is a vegetarian? What is a vegetarian?
According to Gourmet & Cuisine magazine, there are 5 type of vegetarian (add).
· Vegetarian – their diet is very strict. This group avoids all kind of meat, dairy, and eggs. So, their main dishes are usually beans and nuts which is their main source of protein.

· Ovo-vegetarian – their dishes are as same as first group, but they are able to eat eggs which are a source of higher-quality protein.
· Lacto-vegetarian – this group can eat fruits and vegetables as well as milk. So they could get nutrient better than two groups above.
· Ovo-Lacto-vegetable – this group is not as strict as the first group because they could eat all fruits, vegetables, daily, and eggs. This group gets much nutrient more than other vegetarian.
· Fruitarian – this group is also very strict, like vegetarian. They got less nutrient compare to other groups because all they eat is only fruits.

Bad effect from eating vegetarian
Eating vegetarian can lead to long term health problem. Time is needed for adjust your body because vegetarian give you less protein, vitamin, and minerals. There are the study comparing with normal eating and vegetarian in Thailand. The study found that vegetarian receives more than iron but are able to absorb less of it. This means vegetarians may suffer from a lack of iron and possibly anemia. Plus, vegetarians might get calcium not enough, because vegetarian foods have less calcium. In long term, they would get bone problem. Vegetarians need to be careful about their diets in order to get all of their required nutrients. The study found that vegetarians receive less Vitamin B6, Vitamin B12, and foliates. For the protein, vegetarians receive less protein than usual eating because cereals, vegetables and fruits give less protein. Moreover, its quality of protein is lower than meat’s protein. In consequence, vegetarians have to know how to choose food in order to get protein properly.
Benefit from eating vegetarian food
Vegetarian gives you lots of fiber because the food that containing with most of vegetables and fruits which help your excretory system and constipation. Not only vegetarian prevent you from constipation, but also release toxic from your body. It means vegetarian can deceased risk of cancer. Moreover, vegetable food is low fat food which will not make you fat.
In conclusion, all the type of food has both good and bad effect to your body, which depends on how you eat. After all, we cannot say that which food is the best, but consumers have to choose food which suitable to body needed and health. So that you could get benefit from food and have good health.
