Hello again! Last time we have known a lot about how to pick the right one which match you in every way. It is obvious that our dogs are loyal and devote to us. So, the question is do they know whether we love them too? Will they know when you need them to be around or when to give you a space? Or will they know if they do right or wrong.
According to this, I have some tips to make your dogs understand you and for you to understand them.
1. Say "good boy" or "good girl" when your pup did good or make you satisfied. This will make your pup remember what is good or bad.
2. Slap softly on his left side shoulder when he is sweet. He will knowthat he did good and you like it.
3. Shouting out loud will make him startled and wonder if he did something wrong. Whenever dogs hear loud voice, he will assume that what he is doing at the moment is a mistake.
4. Letting your dog leads you to wherever. This is telling your dog that you are letting him to be your leader. Then he might not listen to you when he goes in a wrong direction. He thinks that you gave all responsibility on him.
5. Hugging - Human hug each other to show their love and affection. But do dogs feel love too when you're hugging them? The answer is no. To the dogs, hugging them means you are in a higher status than him and you have power over him. Therefore, when you bend down and wrap your arms around your dog, you are not only on top, but you are in their space. Anyway, it is not wrong to hug them because when you hug them while you are calm and happy, they will feel your emotions and enjoy the calm they feel coming from you.
6. Hit your dog when he did somthing bad can cause the furious in him. This can make your dog an aggressive one. He will not only scare of you but will also be fierce. I will advice you not to hit him when he did wrong. Act like you are going to him is enough, just raise your hand up and act like you are going to hit him. This will make him remember that what he is doing is bad and he will not do it again.

ReplyDeleteMy dogs like hugs na...they actually snuggle into my arms so I can do it. Maybe they are strange dogs haha. Thanks for the informative post...everyone that has a dog should know this.
